What is the Indy Collective Leadership Circle Fellowship?

The Indy Collective Leadership Circle Fellowship is an immersive leadership development program designed to empower executive leaders, managers, and emerging change agents with the tools, strategies, and networks needed to drive systemic, human-centered change within their organizations and communities. Unlike traditional leadership programs, this fellowship integrates actionable frameworks, such as Dr. Nicole Carey’s Doing Intersectionality, to address root causes of organizational misalignment, foster psychological safety, and promote collaborative innovation. The fellowship goes beyond theory, offering leaders the opportunity to apply what they learn to real-world challenges, transforming not only their leadership but also the culture and impact of their organizations.

Who Should Apply?

The fellowship is designed for:

Executive Leaders: Senior decision-makers seeking to strengthen their ability to navigate complexity and lead with strategy and empathy.

Emerging Leaders: High-potential professionals looking to enhance their leadership capabilities and drive change from within their organizations.

Mission-Driven Innovators: Leaders across sectors eager to disrupt harmful systems and foster a culture of equity, collaboration, and strategic alignment.

Whether you’re a CEO, a department head, or a community leader, this program equips you to address challenges holistically and sustainably.

Why This Fellowship?

At the core of the fellowship are four interconnected pillars that distinguish it from other programs:

1. Data-Informed Strategy: Leaders are taught to collect and analyze data effectively to identify misalignments and systemic issues within their organizations.

2. Education and Professional Development: Customized learning arcs address skill gaps, enabling leaders to execute strategies with confidence and competence.

3. Leadership Empowerment: Participants are equipped with the skills to facilitate transformative conversations, align organizational culture, and drive strategic initiatives.

4. Human-Centered Leadership: Using the Doing Intersectionality framework, leaders learn to build collaborative, inclusive environments that benefit all stakeholders.

The Indy Equity Coaching sessions has assisted me in gaining valuable insight on how we think of ourselves as SMALL people in our communities/ work spaces , however we have a opportunity and obligation to make BIG impact be it good or bad…but leading in love, truth, trust, justice and good intention while maybe uncomfortable will always find victory. Coaching has been very impactful for me as it has helped me to stay on task, it has helped me find my own voice in leadership and provided me the support to trust myself. Coaching provided a compass to assist me in finding my way and staying the course and for that I am forever grateful!!

Coaching others well looks like asking questions, giving think time, and letting others (us) process.  It also looks like operating from a point of view that we are the experts on our situation. It also has provided confidence and a feeling of strength in our work. In a practical sense, having the coaching sessions helps provide somewhat of a timeline that works to help keep us on track.  It has also been a place for us to process and receive validation as well as questions to ponder.  It is incredibly helpful for someone not “in the weeds” to look at our plans and actions.
