The Indy Equity Coaching sessions has assisted me in gaining valuable insight on how we think of ourselves as SMALL people in our communities/ work spaces , however we have a opportunity and obligation to make BIG impact be it good or bad…but leading in love, truth, trust, justice and good intention while maybe uncomfortable will always find victory. Coaching has been very impactful for me as it has helped me to stay on task, it has helped me find my own voice in leadership and provided me the support to trust myself. Coaching provided a compass to assist me in finding my way and staying the course and for that I am forever grateful!!

Coaching others well looks like asking questions, giving think time, and letting others (us) process.  It also looks like operating from a point of view that we are the experts on our situation. It also has provided confidence and a feeling of strength in our work. In a practical sense, having the coaching sessions helps provide somewhat of a timeline that works to help keep us on track.  It has also been a place for us to process and receive validation as well as questions to ponder.  It is incredibly helpful for someone not “in the weeds” to look at our plans and actions.
